The only information we have is what is observable to us. The opposite is true from the observer’s standpoint. Because we know that we don’t always behave that way, we associate our behaviour with the situation, rather than our personality. If we are rude to someone, we are more inclined to think that this was an exception, rather than the rule.įor instance, we may recall very few instances when we insulted anyone, and we may believe that in most of these instances we were provoked. We know how we behaved in the past, our emotional state, and our intentions. When we are trying to explain our own behaviour as actors, we have much more information available to us. As observers, we focus our attention on the actor’s behavior, and take it more or less at ‘face value’, i.e., suggesting fixed personality traits. On the contrary, from the observer’s viewpoint, the environment is stable, and functions as a mere background or context. Therefore, we are more likely to seek the cues that shape our behaviour in our environment or the situation. For this reason, our attention as actors tends to be directed outwards. In other words, we cannot see ourselves behaving. However, there are three particular explanations, which are very intertwined with each other:Īs actors, we cannot easily perceive our own behaviour. Human behaviour is a complex phenomenon, leading to several possible explanations of the actor-observer bias. Due to this, they are more likely to seek a broader perspective, also taking into account situational factors when explaining someone’s behaviour. In contrast, people from collectivist cultures, which tend to be found in East Asian, Latin American, and African countries, are more group or relationship-oriented. Here, a person’s character is thought to be the primary explanation for their behavior. Individualistic cultures, which tend to be found in countries such as the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, are more achievement-oriented. Culture impacts the way we perceive the world, which in turn influences the attributions we make. Note: Attribution & cultureThe idea behind attribution is that all people think more or less in the same way, and thus are equally prone to actor-observer bias.

With many people attending school or working from home, video conferencing via Zoom has become a common way to connect with co-workers, classmates, friends, and family. It would be wonderful if Tiled could read directly the map files of the most popular tools. The help file (F1 in the editor) explains all the different sheets that can be contained in a single tileset (there are 9), what size each one has to be, what slot it goes into, and how it's used in the game. There is a LOT of information around on this - I'm guessing you didn't search. I see that Tiled can even export to several game creation tools. Ace is VERY particular about its tilesets. I thought Tiled would be the point of intersection between several platforms. This would be an interesting resource for anyone who wants to port a project from one platform to another. Unfortunately, there is nothing that makes the communication between these platforms. I own licenses of RPG Maker Vx Ace / MV and Game Maker Studio 2 and would like to import many maps created in RPG Maker for GM2. I would be willing to pay for these plugins. It would be a dream if Tiled had some kind of plugin that would allow map reading directly from the most popular platforms like RPG Maker MV, Game Maker Studio 2 and Unity. I do not know if there is any documentation about the format used by RPG Maker. But I was happy to know that these tools exist. Even though I have photos of my RPG Maker MV maps and tilesets, the import failed. 1600x900 is another common screen size that cannot be used without problems because it is not a full multiple of 32x32.I tested some tools and unfortunately I was not satisfied with the results. Since the 1080 cannot fit as multiple of the tilesize, using that as a screen size will result in the distortions I wrote about. But one of the currently more common monitor screen sizes is 1920x1080 - that would be 60x33.75 tiles in Ace-size. With a tilesize of 32x32, screen sizes of 640x480 (which is 20x15 tiles), 960圆40 (which is 30x20 tiles) or similiar are multiples of the tilesize. That has something to do with how the computer stored 2-dimensional data (because the computer itself can only handle one-dimensional sequences). In MV, you need to use the full size tilesheet even if there are only a few dozen tiles on it and the rest transparent, because somewhere in the engine the calculations expect the tilesheet to be of normal size and they fail if trying to find the correct data on a smaller tilesheet. In Ace, if you had extra slots on the tileset that you didn't need, you could simply place those snippets into the tilesheet slots and they usually worked. But usually most artists only make and distribute a few tiles each, resulting in a lot of tiny sheets of a dozen tiles or so. But the engine can get confused trying to display half tiles if your screen size is not a multiple of 32 or 48 (depending on what you set the plugin full tilesheet contains 16x16 tiles. Even if you don't need all tiles on a sheet, fill it up to full size with transparent or white placeholders.ģ) screensize should be multiple of tilesizeĭon't use a screen size that isn't a multiple of your tilesize - again a display calculation problem, although it usually works when the maps are larger. This one is new to MV, but if you are using incomplete smaller tilesheets in your tilesets, the display can go wrong. No Maker ever (that I know of) could handle maps that are smaller than the screen size without errors - it just wasn't as visible in older makers because they had a top screen size they couldn't pass.Ģ) use only full tilesheets for your tilesets If you change the screen size (especially when making it larger), you have to make your maps larger as well. There are a few things you can try, because those have been shown to affect the display in different and strange ways:ġ) minimum map size is screen size in tiles. Here is a list of a few points that should be remembered while studying the perimeter of an isosceles triangle: Important Notes on Perimeter of Isosceles Triangle It should be noted that the two congruent angles in the isosceles right triangle measure 45° each. When the hypotenuse is given: Referring to the explanation given above, if the hypotenuse (h) is given, then the perimeter of an isosceles right triangle will be (P) = h + 2(h/√2) = h + √2h = h(1 + √2).When the length of the equal side is given: Referring to the explanation given above, if the length (l) is given, then the perimeter of an isosceles right triangle will be (P) = 2l + (√2)l = (2 + √2)l.These values can be substituted with each other if one of them is not known. This means h = √2 × l, which can also be written as: l = h/√2. If we apply the Pythagoras theorem in the figure, we get h = √(l 2+ l 2) = √2 × l. Now, let us find the perimeter of an isosceles right triangle in 2 different scenarios given below. Observe the following figure to understand the dimensions and the formula of an isosceles right triangle.Īs given in the figure, the perimeter of an isosceles right triangle is P = h + 2l. If the length of the hypotenuse is 'h' units and the lengths of the other two sides are 'l', then the perimeter of an isosceles right triangle would be: Perimeter of isosceles right triangle = h + l + l. Since it is a right-angled triangle, one of its sides is the hypotenuse and the other two sides are equal. The perimeter of an isosceles right-angled triangle can be found by adding the length of all its three sides. Include tasks such as kitchen prep, sidework, training new employees and setting up for special events. Examine the calendar for the upcoming week to determine what needs to be done during each shift. The shift structure should typically be the same each week - that way, you can simply use a restaurant schedule template to speed the process - but you might occasionally need to make small changes based on employee availability and special events. Determine the number of shifts you need and the best length for each one. Swapping shifts or covering for other workersĪs you’re creating a shift schedule, follow these basic steps:.At a minimum, your restaurant should have written policies for: These rules govern the process and help employees understand what to expect. Policies are another key component of employee scheduling. It’s also important to determine the shift length and the ratio of work days to days off. With a rotating schedule, employees move through different shifts that way, everyone has a chance to work busy hours with the biggest potential for tips. In a fixed schedule, employees work the same days and hours each week. First, consider whether you’re using a fixed or rotating schedule. When you’re building a shift schedule for your restaurant, there are a few key components to keep in mind. This strategy limits long, stressful work days, which reduces burnout and employee turnover. Instead of one 12-hour shift, you might plan an 8-hour shift and a 4-hour shift, for example. Instead of sticking to a rigid schedule template, many restaurants opt to split longer shifts into two shorter shifts. Staff members can then sign up to fill the time slots that fit their schedule. With an open-hour schedule, you publish available shifts in advance. You might also see this method called a 9/80 schedule. The second week, they work 4 9-hour days and get the fifth day off. The first week, an employee works 4 9-hour days and 1 8-hour day. This schedule follows a 2-week pattern and requires a 5-day work week. To make it work, you need four separate teams of employees who are willing to work 12-hour shifts. Employees work 2 days, have 2 days off, and work 3 days. If your restaurant is open 24 hours a day, this schedule might be the right choice. While the shifts are tiring, this schedule enables employees to work full-time while enjoying long stretches of time off. Employees work 12-hour shifts in the pattern of 5 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, and 5 days off. The restaurant schedule you choose depends primarily on your business hours. That balance is critical, given that hiring is one of the biggest restaurant challenges in 2023 a fair distribution of labor can keep employees happy and boost retention. It also helps you spread out the workload, ensuring every employee has a chance to work lucrative shifts. A predictable schedule makes it easier to assign duties, plan deliveries and ensure busy shifts are adequately staffed. Restaurant scheduling creates the framework for your operations. Stick with it and you can create a workable restaurant schedule that keeps operations running smoothly and efficiently. Given the complex factors involved, it’s safe to expect a certain amount of trial and error. Restaurant scheduling is both an art and a science - it must simultaneously serve the business, satisfy customer demand, and account for employees’ needs. Of these, only the awkward potion can be imbued with an effect ingredient to produce a potion effect. The exceptions to this are golden carrot, pufferfish, turtle shell, and phantom membrane, which cannot be added directly to a water bottle.īase potions are potions without effects, brewed by adding a single base ingredient to a water bottle. When added directly to a water bottle, most of these ingredients produce a mundane potion. For instance, a drinkable potion effect of 8:00 is reduced to 2:00 as a lingering potion.Įffect ingredients imbue an awkward potion with a particular effect but do not alter potion duration or intensity.

Methods for Using Linear Regression in Excel The least-squares method minimizes the sum of squares of deviation of data points from the line to calculate the best fit line for observed data in linear regression. a is the y-intercept (i.e., the value of y when x=0).In regression analysis, we refer to the dependent variables as the response or predicted variables, and we also call the independent variables the explanatory variables or predictors.Ī linear regression line has an equation of the kind: Y= a + bX Linear refers to the fact that we use a line to fit our data. Linear Regression models have a relationship between dependent and independent variables by fitting a linear equation to the observed data. If there is only one independent variable, then it is a simple linear regression if some independent variables are more than one, then it is multiple linear regression. In linear regression, we use independent variables to predict the value of a dependent variable. Linear regression is a statistical technique/method used to study the relationship between two continuous quantitative variables. Step 4: Add the Flooring & CeilingĪfter you’re done with both of the floors, it’s time to replace all floors, ceilings, and walls with spruce planks. So, look at the layout carefully and start making one frame that overlaps the existing one, as shown in the photo. Now we’ll make the second floor of the house, and for that, you have to create the second frame. Start breaking stones or part of the mountain inside of your frame. Just place another layer of blocks along with the frame. Carefully finish the whole frame.Īfter this, extend the frame by one block. You can use spruce planks and stairs to create two circles. Step 3: Build The FrameĪfter you found the right mountain, look at the layout, and start creating a circle or frame. So once you’ve discovered such a place, you can start the construction process.
